Family Lent Retreat 2014

The Family Lent Retreat, Sat., Mar 8th, brought together the parish family to reflect on the empty tomb of Christ. The Franciscan Mystery Players gave a moving performance of the "Way of Christ," placing the Stations of the Cross in touch with everyday life with the help of young actors and multimedia effects. A significant number of parishioners without school-age children also attended the retreat as a spiritual preparation for Lent, making this a true "family retreat" for the whole parish.

Family Lent Retreat 2014: The Tomb of Christ

The Family Lent Retreat is Sat 3/8 from 9am to 12 pm, starting in the church. This year we are featuring the celebrated Franciscan Mystery Players who will performing "The Way of the Cross" and the theme for the retreat is "The Tomb of Christ." We ask that each of our faith formation families attend one of the two retreats each year (in fact, we cancel two weeks of classes for that reason). Please RSVP to the FF office at 688-5417 if you have not already done so. Already attended the Advent Retreat? You're certainly welcome to attend this one as well if you like. There will be a special breakout session for teens at this retreat, Fr. Jim will have a talk for the adults followed by small groups, and there will be activities for all other age groups. Also, there will be snacks, Bible charades, prayer, meditation, music, and quality time for the whole family.
